Track Rules

Go-Kart rides and races are lots of fun for all ages. There are no
restrictions on weight and no maximum age or height. However, for the safety of riders which is
our #1 priority, the following conditions must be
met:

- For a person to ride and race alone on the long and fast track,
he/she must be 11 years old and up and must be at least 52" tall (132 cm).
- Kids between the ages of 8-11 years old or less than 52" tall can
ride alone on a Cougar Kart on the Junior track (smaller kart and smaller track, respectively) or can ride free with an
adult (18 years old and up) on a double-seater kart on the long track.
- Kids between the ages of 3-8 years old can ride free with an adult
(18 years old and up) on a double-seater kart on the long track.
- Kids under the age of 3 years old cannot ride on the go-karts.

Note: Only Shanty Bay Go-Karts' TSSA (Technical Standard and Safety Authority of
the Government of Ontario) approved helmets and karts can be used on the
Shanty Bay Go-Karts approved track and guardrail.
